Not happy Viv

Hewoo there one and all

well I uploaded Vivs' "gathering block" late last night but I was so unhappy with it- to me the gold beads next to the piccie of the lady screamed at me when I looked at the block.- So I showed it to DOD(dear old Dad) and said honest opinion and I could see he was struggling to say something so I said wots the first thing your eyes were drawn to and guess wot- the bludy gold beads got him first as well. So off came the wee gold beads and the small amount of gold thread I had put on radiating out from those bludy gold beads and out came the beads again. Yup I had had them off once before and put them back on again Talk about wandering around not knowing if I like or not, so I tried several things and this is wot I finally decided was the finished block-

I left the old version up and put the new version is above this dribble. Which one do you prefer??

I hope Viv likes the new version - I prefer it so much to the old version that I am now happy to post it over to the one, the only, the West Australian ---Vivienne

much love to you Viv

Sis, you have an amazing eye for detail. BOTH versions are wonderful, but when comparing, I can SEE that the better is this last one. The pink is just right! The small gold beads were pretty, too. But they didn't set off the overall piece as well! How long does it take you to do these tiny masterpieces? I would lose vision in my sighted eye trying to do anything this small and perfect! I LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOVE your embroidery!

I do like the butterfly --a wee bit better-- but heck --so much work and soooo beautiful--- I would have been just as happy with the first -- guess there is something to be said about VIRGO perfectionist ways hmmmm ---Neat how you embroidered in BEAR too and I agree what a darling bear in the tattoo heart given you Yep I didnt post on all but I looked them all over How could I not --with such treasures offered!?!?! hugs JANDEE

Okay, you get an A++++ for this one!! I liked it before and really hadn't thought the gold beads were a problem. But of course, your artist's eye knew best! I LOVE this version!

Gold beads? Well now that you mention it I noticed it. I am blind as a bat when it comes to details like that. Well lady whatever pleases you best but I liked it before and I still like it gold beads or no gold beads.

I love it now, but still it needs a bit of something on that seam between the pic and the place where the gold beads were. I love the roses.

Definitely the butterfly. The block is so beautiful and again your colours are great. You'd make a fortune selling these on Etsy.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who stitches and rips and stitches and rips again! This is lovely!
